Down for the Count Concert Orchestra: The Music of Nat King Cole
Down for the Count and the City String Ensemble present a concert spectacular in Nat 'King' Cole's centenary year.
The 20-piece Down for the Count Concert Orchestra will be bringing the music of this great American pianist and vocalist back to life, with honest and respectful recreations of his best work.
Expect to hear classics such as Let There Be Love, Straighten Up and Fly Right, L-O-V-E, Mona Lisa and many more in a luscious orchestral setting - a unique celebration of Nat 'King' Cole's life in the year he would have turned 100.
Running time: approximately two hours and 10 minute with one 20 minute interval.
Please note that the Tabernacle will be in "theatre" format and there will be no dancefloor at this event. Specific seats cannot be reserved, but all seats have an excellent view of the stage. We suggest you arrive at 7pm when doors open to get the best choice of seats. The concert starts at 7.30pm and latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance.
