Down for the Count are one of the country's most in-demand party bands, performing a huge range of music from the swing, soul and Motown eras at events throughout the UK and internationally.

Their set list is full of surprises and appeals to audiences of all ages, which is why the band have been booked to appear at high profile events such as Harvey Nichols' New Years Eve Party and corporate events for BMW, Virgin and Dell at venues including The Shard, Claridge's Hotel and La Mamounia, Marrakech.
The band regularly perform at top London music venues including Pizza Express Jazz Club, Boisdale and Hideaway Streatham - where their unique blend of musicianship and showmanship keeps audiences coming back for more.
Biography - Down for the Count Swing Orchestra
The Down for the Count Swing Orchestra are London's hottest mini big band, who bring the sounds of the Swing Era back to life. Described as "a breath of fresh air on the swing scene", the band are renowned for their energetic performance, unique sound and showmanship.
The band perform tailor-written arrangements of big band classics from the 1930s and 1940s, drawing inspiration from the great swing bands of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman. Swinging like a full-scale dance orchestra, they are never afraid to try something new and you can also expect anything from 1920s New Orleans jazz to 1950s jive hits in every show.
The Down for the Count Swing Orchestra are as much fun to watch as to dance to, with show-stopping solos and fabulous vocals. The band regularly sell out top London jazz clubs including Hideaway and Pizza Express Jazz Club, and have performed at top vintage festivals including Twinwood Festival, Jumpin' at the Woodside and The London Swing Festival. They also host their own dance nights including Rhythm Junction London.
In 2017, The Down for the Count Swing Orchestra recorded a new album of 1930s and 40s dance music called "Let's Dance", which was played on Clare Teal's BBC Radio 2 show.
