The Down for the Count Motown Collective is our sensational party band, providing fantastic Motown and soul dancing music. It’s the perfect live entertainment for any wedding reception, corporate event or party.
Fronted by male and female vocalists, the standard 10-piece line-up also includes a 4-piece horn section. Extra female vocals, extra horns, strings and percussion can also be added to give the performance even more impact.
The Motown Collective’s carefully chosen set list includes music from the 60s up to the present day. You’ll hear soul and Motown classics from Aretha Franklin, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, and Marvin Gaye; and funk and soul classics from Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire and The Jackson 5. We also perform disco classics from CeCe Penisiton and Chaka Khan, and modern day hits from Jamiroquai and Amy Winehouse.
Lots of our set list is made up of medleys - we run the songs seamlessly together to keep guests on the dancefloor, with barely any gaps between songs.
The Motown Collective is constantly in demand throughout the UK, regularly performing at high-profile events. Previous clients include BMW, Virgin, E-On UK and Triumph. Venues we’ve appeared at include Wembley Stadium, Pinewood Studios and ExCeL London.

Keep the party going when the band has finished performing with our Auto DJ - you provide the music, and we provide a top quality sound system. This option is free of charge between sets, and for 30 minutes after the band finish - it can then be extended for an additional fee.
