A vocal-led duo or trio, performing relaxed soul and pop music for any event
Down for the Count's vocal-led soul band, The Soul Essentials, performs relaxed soulful music for wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions and parties.
The band’s repertoire features mellow classics from the 60s and 70s such as A Natural Woman and Feeling Good, as well as contemporary chart songs including Ordinary People and Havana. The band can learn virtually any request if made in advance - so get in touch with your ideas and we can start building a personalised playlist for your wedding ceremony.
The standard line-up of female vocals and piano is the perfect accompaniment for drinks receptions and garden parties, and provides a sublime atmosphere as after-dinner or late-night entertainment. You can also add extra musicians to the band, such as a saxophonist or a bassist.
