We booked Down for the Count for our Christmas departmental event. Through their dynamism and enthusiasm, they certainly know how to bring an audience of serious bankers to life.
The set list was extremely enjoyable, with a variety of classics, Christmas tunes and powerful beats to suit all tastes.

Down for the Count provided a jazz trio for the PTA summer ball at Phil and Jim's primary school in Oxford in July 2007. The band were enormously helpful in discussing what we needed beforehand. They arrived in good time, brought everything they needed and set up with no fuss. They looked the part, the music was fantastic, and they created just the atmosphere we were looking for. We would heartily recommend them and will certainly use them again.

A trio of piano, bass and saxophone from Down for the Count played at my 60th birthday party in July this year and they were excellent entertainment. The quality of the playing and the choice of music was top class. Many people at the party commented on how much they enjoyed the music. I would certainly recommend this band for any function - they were great!

Thank you so much for being such a wonderful accompaniment to a great 18th birthday party last night - Jazz by the riverside! A memorable occasion, not least for the music. As well as providing a splendid musical backdrop to the two Katie's joint 18th party, Down for the Count are now on video as the ambiental music to a scene of punters and their punts (and guests) going up the Isis, reminiscent of Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisited! We'll give you a copy of the DVD!

Down for the Count were on time and organised, and did very well not to get in the way or disrupt the party whilst setting up! They seemed lovely as well as professional, my husband had time to chat to them and said they were really nice.
The performance was perfect - loved the band and the vocals, and they seemed enthusiastic and happy to be performing. All of our guests loved them - we got alot of compliments about them and people asking how we found them, and I was really happy that they appealed to all ages - specifically my 75 year old grandad absolutely loved them, and in contrast my 19 year old cousin who is in a rock band also thought they were really great!

Mike, a massive thanks to you and the rest of your band members for the great music you put on at Sue’s party.
Actually the partying only finished at 6:00pm on Sunday night, but everyone who was at Keston Village Hall on Friday was totally and rightly complementary about the party and in particular the band.
From what I’ve heard you’ll be back in Keston before long; there is always a celebration going on here, and your band was a great hit.
