Book Down for the Count with confidence for your special event
We know that it can be difficult to trust a band you have only seen online for your special event - whether it's your wedding reception or the important corporate party of which you've been put in charge.
Here are just four reasons why you can book Down for the Count with complete confidence for your special event.
1. Most of our work is from repeat clients or recommendations
Over the past 12 months, 70% of all our bookings were from previous clients, someone who had seen the band at another event, or someone who had been personally recommended the band.
This means that having booked us once for an event, many clients will will either book us again or recommend us to friends and family. You can check out the reviews and testimonials available on this website to see what previous clients have to say about us.

2. You can come and see us live
Unlike many function bands, we keep a busy diary of public performances where you can come and watch us live and meet us in person. At most of these public events, we perform as the Down for the Count Swing Orchestra - the 1940s-themed version of our main line-up - so you may even get to pick up a few swing dance moves that you can use in your first dance!
Down for the Count live at Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club, London - one of our many regular live performances where you can come and see the band live before booking us.
3. Our promotional material exactly reflects our live performance
We've spent a lot of time making sure our demos and videos are a completely accurate representation of our live performance. Most of our demo material is recorded completely live - in one take - in front of a real, paying audience - like this video:
Even the demo material that is not recorded "in concert" is still technically "live" as we are recording together, in the same room, at the same time - as if we had an audience in front of us - just like this video:
4. We have performed together for over 15 years - and we've yet to miss a gig
Down for the Count performed together for the first time in April 2005 - and since then have played for over 1000 events. We've never missed a single gig, and have hundreds of happy clients who will vouch for our approachability, trustworthiness and of course our fantastic performance.
