The Soul Essentials

A vocal-led duo or trio, performing relaxed soul and pop music for any event

Soul | Pop | Jazz | Vocal-led | Background Music

Down for the Count's vocal-led soul band, The Soul Essentials, performs relaxed soulful music for drinks receptions and parties.

The band’s repertoire features mellow classics from the 60s and 70s such as Natural Woman and Feeling Good, as well as contemporary chart songs including Ordinary People and Havana.

The standard line-up of female vocals and piano is the perfect accompaniment for drinks receptions and garden parties, and provides a sublime atmosphere as after-dinner or late-night entertainment. You can also add extra musicians to the band, such as a saxophonist or a bassist.

You can also book this small band as a "warm-up act" before one of Down for the Count's party bands such as The Get Downs take to the stage - get in touch to find out more about our great value all-day music packages!
