Down for the Count's Capital Sounds Showband is a sensational party band who perform only the very best pop, soul, disco and Motown music to give you the party of a lifetime.

The band have a reputation for excellence, with a long list of satisfied customers who love our personal service, attention to detail, and sensational performance. We never use click tracks - every note you hear is completely live, giving our performance unrivalled energy and spontaneity - and most of our set list is made up of "medleys" with no gaps between songs, which keeps the dancefloor full all night long.

Capital Sounds Showband is available in a range of line-ups, from our standard 10-piece (featuring two vocalists) all the way up to a 27-piece orchestra. We can also build bespoke productions including show dancers and extra musicians and vocalists.

Capital Sounds Showband is constantly in demand throughout the UK and internationally, regularly performing at high-profile events - previous clients include Ferrari, Sony, BMW, Virgin and Bentley, and venues we’ve appeared at include Wembley Stadium, Claridge's and ExCeL London.

Capital Sounds Soundband is available in the following line-ups:

  • 10-piece: 2 vocalists*, piano, bass, guitar, drums, percussion, keyboards, trumpet, tenor saxophone
  • 11-piece: as above plus third vocalist
  • 14-piece: as above plus fourth vocalist, alto saxophone, second trumpet
  • 18-piece: as above plus baritone saxophone and 3 strings (x2 violin, x1 cello)
  • 27-piece: as above plus 9 additional string players

* either two female vocalists or one male and one female vocalist
